AFTERNOON VISIT TO THE INO ESTATE – ZANATZIA
Our Group will be hosted at the Ino – Zanatzia Estate, by the Hatzipavlou family, which is the 6th generation of winemakers, on Saturday October 16 at 18:00, where we will have the opportunity to get to know the vineyards and taste the wines of the Olympos winery accompanied by a rich buffet.
Before and during the dinner, Mrs. Olvia Hatzipavlou will talk to us about the philosophy of the Estate and the oenologist Mr. Santiago Martinez Polo will present us the wines and the perspectives as prescribed in the 21st century.
Weather permitting, the dinner will take place outdoors, next to the vineyards, otherwise it will take place inside the estate.
The Ino – Zanatzia estate of the Hadzipavlou family, first operated in 1844, where the ETKO winery was founded and housed for many years. Over the years and due to the intense export activity, around the middle of the 20th century, the winery was moved to Limassol where it continued to operate, until 1992. A milestone year, since the company began to develop modern vineyards and the modern Winery Olympos, in the village of Omodos, where today, all vinification and processing takes place.
In the Estate, the Cabernet Sauvignon variety was planted in 1975 and in 1979 the first, numbered, bottling of the variety with the name “INO” was made. A very remarkable wine, by the standards of that time.
During the visit, all approved health protocols will be followed and travel to the site will be done with our own means of transport.
