Wine Courses
Since its establishment, the Cyprus Oenophile Association has successfully organised Wine Knowledge & Tasting courses.
Since 2016, these courses have offered the opportunity to obtain a certification under the Regulation for the Certification of Persons as Connoisseur Oίνου [“Wine connoisseur”]. The Association promoted this Regulation in cooperation with the Cyprus Certification Company (CCC) and the Cyprus Sommelier Association. A new advanced course is planned to start soon.
All those who attend the courses have the right to sit the examination organised by the CCC and obtain the Connoisseur Oίνου [“Wine connoisseur”] Certificate in case of success.
The courses take place in Limassol and Nicosia, include a theoretical and a practical part, and are completed in 7 evening classes of 3 hours each.
The participation fee is €150 per person for members of the Association and €180 per person for non-members. The fee includes:
- The wines offered during the courses (Cypriot and international wines).
- The course material (course notes).
For non-members, the above fee additionally includes:
- Free registration with the Cyprus Oenophile Association (worth €10).
- One-year subscription with the Cyprus Oenophile Association (worth €30).
